In celebration of our newly built accessible accommodation, we’re shining a light on some of the incredible accessible attractions and activities you can enjoy across the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. Whether you’re after wildlife encounters, sweet treats, or scenic adventures, there’s something for everyone to experience comfortably and confidently.
Healesville Sanctuary
Get up close with Australia’s native wildlife at Healesville Sanctuary. The Sanctuary has eight accessible parking bays near the entrance and offers free wheelchair hire (booking 48 hours in advance is recommended). Their pathway system is easy to navigate for wheelchair users, and there are three accessible bathrooms on-site.

Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery
The Chocolaterie offers accessible parking close to the entrance, ramp access to both the store and café, and accessible bathrooms. It’s the perfect stop for a delicious treat or to simply take in the stunning Yarra Valley views.

Puffing Billy Railway
The station features fully paved pathways and wheelchair-accessible carriages, ensuring everyone can enjoy the scenic ride through the Dandenong Ranges. The Puffing Billy team kindly asks for a heads-up before your visit so they can have ramps ready for boarding.

Did you know there are around 48 wheelchair-accessible wineries in the region? A few local favourites include Helen’s Hill, St Huberts, TarraWarra Estate, De Bortoli Wines, Levantine Hill, and Coombe Yarra Valley. Many are just a short drive from our park, perfect for a relaxed day of tastings and views.
